These are some questions that we get asked most often.
- What are your business hours?
Our business hours are Monday through Friday day from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. E-mails are always welcome. Phone calls are accepted until 9:00 p.m.
- How do I send you work I live so far away?
We accept work via efax 972.767.3747, email athometypingsvc@att.net, express mail or regular mail. We do work for clients all over the United States.
- How much do you charge?
At Home Typing Service charges an hourly rate of $25.00, with exception of transcription which is $30.00. A minimum fee of $25.00 ($30.00 for transcription) will be charged on jobs under one hour.
Prices for larger documents are as follows:
0-150 pages....................................$25.00 per hour
150-300 pages...............................$20.00 per hour
300+ pages.....................................$18.00 per hour- How many pages do you type an hour?
On average, we type between 10 and 12 pages of typed text an hour. Handwritten documents may take longer depending on the legibility of the handwriting. Also, documents that contain charts, graphs or very detailed formatting may also take longer.
- What types of audio files can you transcribe?
We can handle most types of audio files including .wav, .mp2, .mp3, .dss, .vox, .wma and .m4a.
- How do I get my audio files to you?
Getting your audio files to us is quick and easy! Visit our Upload Audio Files page and click on the orange upload button.
- How long does it take you to transcribe an hour of audio?
It takes between 3 and 4 hours to type an hour of good quality audio. Audio containing more than two people, i.e., business meetings, interviews with more than one person, etc., or audio that is difficult to hear will take a little longer. Verbatim transcriptions will take a bit longer as well.
- What is your turn around time?
Our typical turn around time on transcritpions is one to two business days. Manuscripts, screenplays, manuals and other documents will vary depending on their size. We do our best to maintain a three to five business day turn around on these types of projects.
- Do you keep your work confidential?
Yes! Working as a Legal Secretary for over 25 years, I know the importance of confidentiality and have no problems signing a Confidentiality Agreement if it is requested.
- What languages do you offer?
Currently At Home Typing Services offers transcription and typing services in English only.
- Do you offer discounts?
